Why a Bike Riding Club Is More Than Just Learning to Ride
For many children, learning to ride a bike is an exciting milestone, but it also builds skills that extend far beyond two wheels.
Our Bike Riding Club is designed to help children ages 6–12 develop confidence, coordination, strength, and independence while having fun outdoors. Each week, participants bring their own bike, scooter, or trike and practice important riding skills in a safe, encouraging setting.
What Children Learn
Throughout the summer, children work on:
- Bike and scooter safety
- Basic bike mechanics and maintenance
- Balance, coordination, and motor planning
- Building strength and endurance
- Confidence through successful riding experiences
These skills don’t just help children become better riders—they also support overall physical development and encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
Why It Matters
Riding requires children to coordinate multiple body systems at once. They strengthen their balance, improve body awareness, develop motor planning skills, and gain confidence by mastering new challenges. Learning in a group also encourages social interaction, teamwork, and motivation as children cheer each other on.
Join the Fun
Our Bike Riding Club meets every Wednesday throughout the summer and welcomes children ages 6–12. Participants should bring a bike, scooter, or trike, a properly fitted helmet, and a water bottle. With small class sizes, every child receives individualized support while enjoying the excitement of riding with friends.
